Calculate days early or late

The due date is the invoice date plus the number of calendar days in the payment terms. Payment timing is the comparison date minus the calculated due date: a negative difference is early, zero is on the due date, and a positive difference is late.

For an invoice dated March 1 with Net 30 terms, the calculated due date is March 31. A payment date of April 3 is 3 calendar days late; a payment date of March 28 is 3 days early.

Check the terms that apply

The calculator does not adjust for weekends or public holidays and does not interpret contract-specific rules such as receipt dates, business-day counting or cutoff times.

This page compares a payment date with its due date. Use Invoice Due Date Calculator when you only need the due date from the invoice date and terms.
