Required pipeline is the target divided by the expected win rate. The gap is the amount still missing from the open pipeline you entered.

Current coverage = open pipeline ÷ revenue target. Required pipeline = revenue target ÷ expected win rate. Pipeline gap = the greater of zero or required pipeline minus open pipeline.
For a $100,000 target and $200,000 open pipeline, current coverage is 2x. At a 25% win rate, required pipeline is $400,000, leaving a $200,000 gap.
Keep the inputs comparable
Use pipeline and target values for the same period, and define whether pipeline is weighted or unweighted consistently. The entered win rate is an assumption used to estimate required pipeline.
There is no universal coverage multiple that fits every team: deal quality, stage definitions, cycle length and win rate all affect what the ratio means.

How does this tool work?
- Enter the revenue target and current open pipeline value.
- Add an expected win rate.
- See current coverage, estimated required pipeline and the remaining gap.
What is pipeline coverage?
Pipeline coverage compares open pipeline value with the revenue target for the same period. A 3x ratio means the pipeline is three times the target.
Is a higher coverage ratio always better?
No. A large pipeline with poor qualification can be less useful than a smaller pipeline with realistic values, dates and win rates.
