Agreements / Quote Approvals

Review the quote internally before the customer gets a signing link.

Use pending approval as a real checkpoint on the quote, keep the approver decision separate from customer acceptance, and release the offer into the customer process when it is ready.

Put a review step between preparing the quote and customer signing

A quote can enter a pending-approval state before it reaches the customer. That creates a clear internal checkpoint instead of relying on a salesperson to remember that somebody still needs to review the offer.

A quote that is still pending approval cannot receive a customer signing session.

Review the commercial details on the actual quote

The team can inspect the customer, products or services, quantities, prices, discounts, tax, currency, validity, notes and terms on the offer that will later be sent.

The goal is not to create another copy for management. It is to review the commercial record that Sales is already working from.

Keep the internal request separate from the customer decision

An approval request can keep who asked for the review, who needs to approve it, why the review is needed and the decision status. That internal decision is separate from customer acceptance.

Keeping the two decisions distinct prevents “approved internally” from being mistaken for “signed by the buyer.”

Send a changed offer back through review when needed

Quote revisions preserve older versions while the active quote changes. If the revised offer needs another internal check, it can return to pending approval before a fresh signing session is created.

That is particularly useful when negotiation changes a discount, quantity, tax treatment or another commercial term the business wants reviewed.

Once approved, continue with the customer process

After the internal review is resolved, the quote can proceed to the customer-response and signing flow.

Viewed, accepted, rejected and expired outcomes remain customer-side quote states rather than approval states.

Approval is a checkpoint, not an automatic discount policy

Lynka gives the team an explicit approval checkpoint on the quote. It does not present that checkpoint as automatic routing by discount, deal size or margin.

That keeps the feature description aligned with what the product can prove today.

A changed quote may deserve another review

Negotiation can change the very details the approval was meant to check. If an editable quote changes after a below-cost exception was confirmed, the earlier confirmation can be cleared so the revised offer goes through review again before customer signing.

That prevents an approval from being treated as a permanent pass for every later version of the offer.

Customer signing is deliberately downstream of approval

Lynka will not create the customer signing link while the quote is still waiting for internal approval.

Once the quote is eligible, the signing process uses the generated quote document and can lock the commercial version being sent so the evidence refers to the document the customer actually received.

Approval stays separate from the customer decision. The team reviews the quote first, and customer signing begins only after that internal checkpoint is resolved.

Approval is most useful when it stops an unfinished commercial decision from leaving the business. Lynka puts that checkpoint on the quote itself and blocks customer signing while approval is still pending.

Questions about Quote Approvals

Can a quote wait for internal approval?

Yes. Pending approval is a distinct quote state before customer signing.
